Our Story and Mission
Little Seashells began in 2019 with a simple passion - to create a safe, welcoming space where children could explore, create and truly enjoy the magic of messy play.
What started as small community sessions has grown into a much loved part of local family life, bringing together babies, children and parents through shared experiences and meaningful play.
The Little Seashells Activity Cabin is the next step in that journey. Created to offer calm, nurturing, and dedicated environment, the cabin allows us to provide smaller , more personalised sessions, alongside new opportunities such as stay and play, parties and after school activities, where every child feels comfortable, included and inspired.
Our mission is to support children's development through play, creativity and connection. Every session is thoughtfully planned to encourage confidence, curiosity and imagination, while also giving families a place to slow down, connect and fell part of a supportive community.
At Little Seashells, its not just about the activities, its about the memories you make, the friendships you build and the joy of simply playing, creating and exploring together.

Passionate About Creative Play and Learning
Hi, I’m Leanne—the face behind Little Seashells Messy Play 💛
I’m a mum of two children, Marty and Rosa, and an experienced early years practitioner with over 25 years in childcare, including roles as a nanny, nursery manager and now an Ofsted-registered childminder. I’m fully qualified, first aid trained and DBS checked.
Little Seashells was created from my passion for helping children learn through play, especially sensory and messy experiences that spark curiosity and confidence. I also wanted to create a welcoming space where parents and carers can connect, feel supported and enjoy special time with their children.
Every session you attend is carefully planned and led by me, with love, experience and a real understanding of how children learn best.
